Registration will begin on 1^st March 2026. The conference fee includes the conference pack, coffee breaks, opening cocktail, and a free tour around the town. Please note that lunches are not included. A wide range of catering options, however, is available on campus next to the venue.

* This applies to PhD students participating in the Conference as regular speakers, and not to those PhD students participating in the Doctoral Symposium.
** This applies only to Doctoral Symposium students who are also attending the full conference. PhD students attending only the Doctoral Symposium should not register online.

 

• The registration process will close on 15 June 2026. Participants who have not registered by this date will be removed from the Conference Programme. 
• To qualify for the ESSE member registration fees, participants must have joined or renewed their ESSE membership in 2025. If you are unsure about your membership status, please refer to ESSE’s FAQ about membership.
• To qualify for the PhD Student / Unemployed registration fee, you must attach written proof (e.g., a current student enrollment certificate, a letter from your university confirming your PhD status, an unemployment certificate, or any other official document verifying your status). Please note that if you fail to attach adequate documentation, your registration will be considered invalid upon review, and you may lose the early-bird discount if the application period for this rate has expired. In such cases, you will receive a notification via email requesting that you resubmit your registration application.
• To qualify for the Doctoral Symposium fee, participants must attach notification of acceptance (emails are valid).
• Please note that registration invoices will be sent via email. If you need an invoice, please tick the corresponding box and complete the required information in the application form. Participants at the 2026 ESSE Conference can apply for one of the following fee-waiver schemes: the one provided by ESSE and addressed to ESSE members or the one offered by the local organising committee and addressed to participants from non-ESSE countries as explained in the PDF below.

 

Please note that fee waivers will cover only the conference registration fee. The gala dinner, post-conference trips, and other social events not included in the registration fee are not covered.

 

Applicants who are granted half / full fee waivers will be sent a special link for registration.
